Description | India aims to reach a green hydrogen production capacity of 5 million metric tonnes per annum by 2030 under the National Green Hydrogen Mission. The government has introduced various incentives to promote production, usage, and export of green hydrogen and its derivatives. Incentives have been awarded to companies for production capacity and electrolyser manufacturing. Plants using renewable energy for green hydrogen or ammonia production commissioned by 2030 will be exempt from certain transmission charges for 25 years. The ministry is also supporting an R&D project for scaling up perovskite tandem solar cell technology. |
