India S-400 Air Defense System Deployment

under delivery

India will receive the last, fifth S-400 “Triumf” complex in November 2026, completing the delivery of five regimental kits under a contract with Russia signed in 2018. The S-400 system is a long-range air defense system designed to protect large objects and troops from various aerial threats, including aircraft, cruise missiles, and ballistic targets, with a maximum engagement range of up to 400 km. The system is integrated into the Indian armed forces and covers strategically important areas. The delivery schedule faced delays but is now on track for completion by the end of 2026.
