Description | The second phase of the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM 2.0) focuses on attracting semiconductor design firms, manufacturers of materials, equipment, and specialty chemicals. It includes a grant-plus-equity funding model for startups and co-investment or royalty-linked funding for medium and large companies. Incentives for semiconductor fabrication and packaging units have been recalibrated, and combined central and state support of up to 75% of project cost is proposed for R&D and talent development in advanced semiconductor technologies. |
