The Ministry of Power has issued an advisory mandating co-location of energy storage with solar installations, requiring a minimum of 2 hours of energy storage equivalent to 10% of installed solar capacity. As of the report, 10.62GW solar coupled with 12.52GWh BESS capacity has been tendered, with 0.2GW solar and 0.2GWh BESS commissioned, and 4.6GW solar with 5.7GWh BESS under construction. |
