Description | Meta Materials Circular Markets (MMCM) launched the pilot phase of the ELV Credit Project, India's first initiative that converts vehicle recycling into verified climate action by rewarding Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs) for reducing carbon emissions through sustainable recycling. The project uses blockchain-verified carbon credits generated from end-of-life vehicle dismantling data to tackle emissions across manufacturers, financiers, and recyclers. Early partners were financially rewarded based on verified environmental data, and the project plans to expand with 19 new RVSFs. |
