Description | Juniper Green Energy has begun commissioning India's first firm and dispatchable renewable energy project under the Government of India's FDRE guidelines. The project integrates 259 MWp solar, 280 MW wind, and 200 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) across Rajasthan and Gujarat to supply firm renewable power in line with grid demand. The solar capacity began commercial operations in March 2026, and the BESS component began operations in April 2026. The project was awarded under an SJVN Ltd tender, with Juniper Green signing a 200 MW power purchase agreement (PPA). SJVN has also executed a back-to-back power sale agreement with Haryana Power Purchase Centre. The project supports Haryana's peak electricity demand, especially during summer months. |
