Description | Ester Loop Infinite Technologies Pvt Ltd (ELITe), a joint venture between Ester Industries Ltd and Loop Industries, has acquired land near Surat, Gujarat, to set up India's first Infinite Loop™ manufacturing facility. The project aims to recycle polyester textile waste into virgin-quality PET resin, cutting carbon emissions by up to 80%. The plant will have an initial capacity of 70,000 metric tonnes per year, expandable by another 100,000 tonnes, supporting circular economy goals by turning waste polyester into high-quality PET resin for textiles and packaging. The facility is designed to run on about 80% renewable electricity and biofuel, significantly lowering the environmental footprint of PET production. |
