Gurgaon has launched India's first LPG ATM, a smart vending machine dispensing lightweight composite LPG cylinders in just two to three minutes. Installed at Central Park Flower Valley in Sector 33, Sohna, the Bharatgas Insta LPG machine offers automated and contactless LPG distribution to residential areas, providing 24x7 access and convenience for residents. The LPG ATM uses lightweight composite cylinders that are easier to handle and have a transparent body for easy gas level checking. The refill process is fully automated and digital, allowing users to enter their registered mobile number, verify via OTP, scan the empty cylinder's barcode or QR code, make payment digitally, and receive a filled cylinder while the empty one is stored. The machine can store up to 10 cylinders and alerts the nearest gas agency to replenish stock when it falls to two cylinders. This pilot project by BPCL aims to improve accessibility and encourage the adoption of modern composite cylinders, with plans to expand if successful.
