Description | The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) has completed the construction of India's longest cantilever glass bridge measuring 55 metres in length. The bridge is constructed with three layers of 40 mm-thick tempered laminated German glass panels and supported by approximately 40 tonnes of manufactured steel. It is designed as a transparent walkway for tourists, ensuring high safety standards and can hold more than 100 people. The bridge will open to tourists on September 25, 2025, and is expected to become a major attraction in the state. |
