The mission is supported by an outlay of INR 197 billion (USD 2.2 billion). As of August 2025, 158 green hydrogen projects are at various stages of development, with 94% of capacity announced, 0.1% under construction, and 2.8% operational. The mission targets decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors and includes infrastructure development such as electrolysers, storage, pipelines, and electricity transmission networks. |
