Several projects slated for commissioning were postponed due to insufficient grid infrastructure, land acquisition challenges, slow PPA signings, shortage of domestically manufactured modules, and elevated prices. The project pipeline for 2025 remains strong but faces supply-side challenges that could stall execution. Mercom India reported 14.4 GW of solar tenders announced in Q1 2025, down 53% year-over-year but up 5% from the previous quarter, with auctions totaling 6.4 GW, falling 39% quarter-over-quarter and 74% year-over-year. |
