Information Water Resources-MP has come up with Indira Sagar Project Canal Phase - III [km. 143 to km. 206] with a ticket size of 890.38 INR Crores. This project in Irrigation sub-sector involves The current status of the project is - and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The project is included under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, PMKSY-AIBP and prioritized in 2016 for early completion. The Indra Sagar Project envisages construction of the following main works [i] A 654 m long and 91.4 m high [above deposit foundation level] concrete gravity dam across river Narmada in Khandwa district with gross storage of 12200 MCM and a live storage of 9750 MCM corresponding to an FRL of + 262.13 m. [ii] A surface power house on the right bank to house 8 units of 125 MW each, with conventional turbines. The construction activities of Canal projects have been divided into four phases. [a] Phase III Construction of Main canal and distribution system from 142 to 206 km. During inclusion of Project under PMKSY AIBP in 2016 Balance Cost of the Project was Rs 165.67 crore Eligible Central Assistance was Rs 146.531 crore CA released since 2016 till October 2021 105.91crore State Share released through NABARD under LTIF till October 2021 Rs 19.14 crore Physical progress 96.19 percentage Financial Progress 81.54 percentage Ultimate Irrigation Potential is 20700 Ha Irrigation Potential created till October 2021 16990 Ha Projected Date of Completion December 2021
