Description
Description | Covid-19 crisis will speed up the digitalisation process. The reduction in oil and gas prices has increased the pressure on the industry to seek greater efficiency and reduce production costs. Digitalisation is a promising alternative, be it through virtual modelling for project optimisation, digital planning and operations, cloud-based process design and/or machine learning. Besides these latest developments the investment in digital technologies by energy companies has risen sharply over the last few years. Project partners from Poland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, N. Macedonia, Spain, and Portugal with support of Training Centre of Employer Association of Saxony Germany and Research Institute from Poland gathered in order to strengthen information, consultation and employee participation to better understand, anticipate and manage, in particular an inclusive, good and fair digital transformation of oil, gas and coal mining and supply companies. To achieve this goal the project will collect data from 7 countries in order to determine how oil, gas and coal mining and supply workforces are adapting to Industry 4.0 and what best practice techniques are being adopted, will support over 250 representatives of social partners to understand and practice engagement in Industry’s 4.0 decisions and will produce step-by-step manuals and other guidelines for practical use of tools for this purpose and network for greater employee involvement in digital transformation of oil, gas and coal mining and supply companies. Project will contribute to realisation of Social Partner Agreement on Digitalisation and rely on implementation of relevant Directives of employee involvement in particular 98/59/EC, 2001/23/EC, 2002/14/EC, 2001/86/EC3 and 2003/72/EC4. |
