Description | In order to continue the import credit program, financing will be provided for industrial expansion under the Industrial Equipment Project, to be distributed for foodstuffs industries, food cannery, a freezing plant, a new slaughterhouse, and packing plant (30 percent), textile industry, cotton, and synthetic manufacturing (35 percent), and other industries, including the expansion of a concrete block plant, and detergent plant (35 percent). Given the longer term loan of industrial projects, it is recommended that the loan be for a twelve-year term, with a three-year grace period. Continuation of the import program for industrial capital goods, offers a suitable basis for a Bank loan of US $2 million. |
