Description
Description | The Saskatoon Water and Sewer Main Capacity Upgrade project in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan aims to increase capacity for sewer and water mains to support infill growth in identified areas of the city. This capital project involves replacing and upsizing key strategic water and sewer mains, including consultant services for planning and project management. The upgrades will enable an additional 2,400 residences, a 48% increase in capacity. Specific projects include the 24th St. E. Water Main Replacement, 22nd St. Sanitary Sewer Upsizing, 1st Ave. Water Main Replacement, and Sutherland Sewer Sanitary Improvements. These projects will replace old pipes, install new larger pipes, and restore surface infrastructure. The outcome will support as-of-right four dwelling units on residential sites, enable seven affordable housing projects to construct 34 units, and address capacity restraints to facilitate growth and development in Saskatoon. |
