Description
Description | A vote on the Inner Harbor desalination plant is likely to be pushed back by about a month from its initially scheduled date of April 28 due to delays in additional environmental research. The study evaluates the potential plant's effects on salinity and temperature for the entire bay system, expanding from a previous study limited to the ship channel. The delay is caused by the loss of the lead modeler, Jordan Furnans, and the company has requested an additional 30 days to complete an initial draft. The study's findings and recommendations are planned to be presented in a council meeting scheduled for June 2, with a vote on the contract expected the same day. |
