Description

Description

The preservation of the tropical rainforest and the sustainable use of natural resources in Brazil (especially in the Amazon) contributes to global climate and biodiversity protection. At the same time, the foundations are being laid for social, ecological and economically sustainable development in Brazil (especially in the Amazon). The mechanisms for promoting forest protection and compliance with environmental and social standards in connection with value chains for agricultural products are inadequate. They encourage illegal deforestation and the use of unsustainable practices in the production of beef, wood and soy. Module objective State authorities, in cooperation with producers, the private sector and civil society, contribute to forest protection in the Amazon by promoting innovation in agricultural value chains.
