Description | The InnoWaste Project is an initiative launched by GIZ, Zoomlion Ghana Limited, and Blue Skies to transform plastic waste into economic opportunities and support Ghana's transition to a circular economy. The project aims to improve livelihoods in the plastic waste management sector, focusing on women and youth, by creating jobs, improving working conditions, and increasing income levels. It includes activities such as public education campaigns, training, provision of equipment to waste collectors, installation of plastic vending machines, development of a mobile app for waste management, and strengthening cooperatives among waste collectors and recyclers. |
