Inox Wind Limited through its group subsidiary Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFL), entered into an agreement with Rajasthan Government, to develop 110MW wind power project at Barmer and Jaisalmer districts in the state of Rajasthan. The wind farm would involve the building of 55 wind turbines of INOX WT2000DF WEG of 2MW capacity each.The electricity generated from the project would be evacuated by Northern, Eastern, Western and North Eastern (NEWNE) grid of India.The EPC for the power plant had been awarded to Inox Wind Limited (IWL). IWL would develop,construct,commission operate and maintain the project at an all-inclusive price. Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited had already approached Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (Rajasthan Discom )- for entering into Power Purchase Agreement. The APPC (Average Power Purchase Cost) 25-year base feed-in tariff as per RERC (Rajasthan State Regulator) tariff order, was US$ 0.083/Unit (INR 4.46 per unit @ 53.44INR/USD). The transmission charges would be paid by GFL to the state transmission utility. The total capacity of 100MW was eligible for CDM benefits and the company had initiated the process with UNFCC. Details of financial closure or project cost were not available. As per company sources, the project was already commissioned in August 2012.
