Description | Installation of the bar screen at LaSalle Pump Station 1 (6400 Milford Avenue, LaSalle, Ontario) to prevent rags and other material into the pumping system and avoid damage to the pumps. This will improve the reliability of the system and reduce energy cost, operating cost and maintenance cost. There will be an elimination of the daily manual cleaning of the bar screen and the elimination of a health and safety risk during the cleaning process. Currently staff enter a hazardous area to access the manual bar screen. |
