Description | This nonreimbursable technical cooperation (TC) supports the Government of Jamaica in developing a system to privatize roadways. The TC improve the legal, regulatory and institutional framework applicable to the construction and operation of public roads through private concessions. The TC components are: (a) institutional strengthening of the Ministry of Transport and Works (MoTW) and regulatory reform; and (b) preparation of a pilot concession project, the Kingston-Portmore Causeway, to develop and test the new system. |
