Description
Description | The project would constitute the first phase of an Integrated Agricultural Development Program for the development of smallholder agriculture. It would promote the establishment of whole farm systems through the provision of inputs and the strengthening of extension services and institutions to meet the needs and support required for a wide range of crop and livestock activities in four of Kenya's provinces. The project is expected to encourage the production of maize, beans, cotton, potatoes, passion fruit, oil seeds, meat and milk by about 70,000 small farmers operating some 56,000 holdings. |
