The WayOut - Integrated Exit Programme for Prison and Probation project aims to improve and facilitate the implementation of exit programmes (EPs) by building a common framework to evaluate them and creating an innovative and integrated one based on approaches with proven effectiveness. It desires to generate impacts such as an increased understanding about EPs among judicial, prison, probation and community organisations (religious) staff; improved knowledge about the efficacy of EPs and 'what works'; enhanced staff capacity to deal with radicalised (or at risk) detainees; promote quality training and learning for prison staff. Consequently, its main outcomes will be a framework of EPs evaluation, an integrated EP based on approaches with proven effectiveness, a training course on exit strategies (ES) to practitioners, and law enforcement officials' awareness enhancement. Activities WP1. Management and Coordination of the Action (develop management methodology, project meetings and manage administrative criteria) WP2. State of Art Analysis (research and mapping on existing ES) WP3. Evaluation Framework of EPs (scientific peer review on similar and existing EPs and develop an evaluation framework) WP4. Integrated EP (create an innovative and integrated EP based on learned lessons and what works) WP5. Training Course on ES and Implementation of the Developed Programme (develop, pilot and fine tune of b-learning and train the trainer courses) WP6. Stakeholders' Awareness Campaign (organise national roundtables) WP7. Promising Practice Repository (develop an online platform to disseminate promising practices) WP8. Dissemination and Mainstreaming (develop strategy & plan; project website; disseminate ES good practices; run EPs certification courses for prison, probation, and NGOs staff; final public conference) The beneficiaries will be prison, probation and community organisations staff (short-medium term), as well as decision-makers (long term) - 679 participants.
