"The main goal in the implementation of this project is to provide integrated farm structure statistics in 2023 in Bulgaria, as well as production methods, rural development measures and agri-environmental indicators in implementation of the Framework Regulation (EU) 2018/1091. Detailed requirements are set out in Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/2286. The Ministry of Agriculture carries out the organization and distribution of responsibilities for the implementation of the project activities. Experts participate at two levels – at central level and at regional level - the regional directorates ""Agriculture"". The activities at central level are related to the overall methodological guidance, administration of all activities, sampling and documentation, data control and data processing, transmission of validated data and Eurostat quality report and results dissemination. The Regional Directorates of Agriculture in the 28 administrative regions are the regional structures of the Ministry of Agriculture, which organize and carry out the activities for conducting statistical surveys on the territory of the respective region, including the organization of the data collection on the field. The project activities are expected to start on July 1, 2022 with the preparation of a software technical specification and statistical tools development. The data collection will take place from 1 August till 30 November 2023. The activities are expected to be completed by the end of 2024 with the transmission of an individual data file and a quality report to Eurostat. Available data from the administrative registers for some core data indicators (CORE) and for the Rural Development (RDEV) and Soil Management Practices (MSMP) modules will be used. Administrative data will be used to control and compare the information collected. It is planned to develop software for data entry, control, processing and validation, and preparation of the Eurostat file. The survey results in 2023 for Bulgaria will be published on the Ministry of Agriculture website and in a special bilingual paper edition."
