In accordance with Regulation (EU) 2018/1091, National Statistical Institutes are required to organize and implement data collections on integrated farm statistics (IFS). The objectives of this proposal are: (i) the organisation and implementation of the data collection in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2018/1091 and with Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/2286 on the 2023 module data collections for the reference year 2023 in Austria; and (ii) the establishing of the corresponding quality report. These data will provide essential information on the structure of agricultural holdings, production methods, labour force, rural development, machinery and equipment and orchards. The resulting statistics form the foundation for evidence-based agricultural policy at the national and EU level, and are of vital importance to assess the revised Common Agricultural Policy, the European New Green Deal, the Farm-to-Fork and Biodiversity Strategies.
