"The Statistical Service of Cyprus (CYSTAT) intends to conduct a Farm Structure Survey for the reference year 2026 based on the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2018/1091 on integrated farm statistics and the relevant EU guidelines, in order to examine the trends in the structure of agricultural holdings in the Republic of Cyprus and provide the Union with the necessary information to design, implement, monitor, evaluate and review related policies, in particular the common agricultural policy (CAP) for the future. The IFS 2026 aims to collect information on the structure and types of agricultural and livestock holdings and the characteristics of their holders. CYSTAT will collect information on core variables as well as the modules on ""Labour force and other gainful activities"", ""Rural development"", ""Animal housing and manure management"" and ""Vineyard"". The information collected will be related to the fragmentation of holdings, land tenure, land use, crop areas, livestock numbers by breed and age, animal housing and manure application and storage and rural development measures, which will contribute to the formation of policies on environmental, climate change adaptation and mitigation and land use. Information will also be collected on the characteristics of holders (age, gender, legal status, agricultural training, main occupation, etc.), on the labour force of the holdings, including other gainful activities, as well as on grape age and varieties, agro-environmental aspects, etc."
