Integrated Mass Transit System - Additional Financing

The additional loan requested by the Government of Colombia (GoC) for the Integrated Mass Transit System Project would help finance the costs associated with: (i) geographically expanding the project through the incorporation of participating cities in 2005, (ii) filling a financing gap due to variation of exchange rates, inflationary costs and increases in the share of the project cost to be financed by the GoC. The eligible categories of the proposed additional financing do not require a change in the project components, and the disbursements will correspond to the original project's component bus rapid transit system development classification.
