Description | Design and construction of equipment foundations, a powerhouse, a concrete dam for an upper reservoir, a spillway, tailraces, a desalination plant and a seawater intake structure; purchase and erection of structural steel and brine storage tanks; and purchase and installation of two 75-MW reversible pump-turbine units, two 4,150-yard-long, 3,400-millimeter-diameter steel penstocks. The power plant will have the capacity to generate 150 MW of electric power. The desalination plant will have the capacity to treat 25 million gallons of water per day. |
