The project is a joint program with UNICEF and the World Food Program. Through the integrated improvement of basic services, the safeguarding of livelihoods and the strengthening of institutions, the project increases the resilience of the target group to future political, economic and ecological shocks. Four districts in the states of Puntland and Galmudug are to benefit directly from the planned measure. A particular focus is on households affected by malnutrition, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women and internally displaced persons. The entire population of the target districts benefits directly from this project. The project aims to improve access to clean water and sanitation facilities, promote equal access to appropriate basic education as well as nutritional support, midwifery and raising awareness of appropriate nutritional practices. Furthermore, the economic livelihoods and food security of the target group are strengthened.
