Description

Description

Tomorrow Water has entered a strategic partnership to license the patented DETOUR™ Partial Denitrification-Anammox (PdNA) technology from Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) and DC Water. This technology will be integrated into Tomorrow Water's PROTEUS® wastewater treatment platform to enable intensified, energy-efficient nitrogen removal. The partnership builds on a U.S. DOE-funded demonstration project led by AECOM at Linda County Water District in Northern California, validating the PdNA process within the PROTEUS® system. The collaboration aims to provide intensified nutrient removal, increased treatment capacity without major expansion, reduced aeration demand and energy consumption, lower greenhouse gas emissions, and reduced capital and operating costs.
