Intelligent mobility in Greater Copenhagen

The project seeks to build a strong project consortium, which will form the basis for a new am-bitious ITS-based project in Greater Copenhagen to promote smart mobility. Smart mobility must contribute to increased accessibility, CO2 reductions, cleaner air, lower energy consumption, a safer and a more liveable city. Various fragmented ITS systems have already been established within the Greater Copenhagen geographical area, but the systems cover only a modest part of the transport system and provide only a limited part of the service, regulation and management of traffic that the road users and travellers could potentially benefit from. The pre-project will identify the possibilities for smart mobility, through the use of holistic ITS solutions, to be best realised, scaled and made interoperable through transnational cooperation. This will be done on the basis of existing living labs/pilot and demonstration projects and a strong project consortium will be formed through workshops and bilateral meetings, which will be able to fulfil the task of promoting and demonstrating intelligent mobility in the region.
