Formed in 2004, Intelvision Limited (“Intelvision” or “INL”, the “Company”), is an integrated telecommunications provider operating through three segments: (i) pay-Television (ii) data/internet and (iii) VoIP telephony/voice in the Seychelles. Intelvision’s services are directed at both businesses and residential clients. Intelvision intends to invest in a 2000 kilometers Intelvision Submarine Cable System (“ISCS”) (the “Project”) to connect Seychelles to the 2Africa Cable (www.2africacable.com), one of the largest subsea projects in the world, connecting 23 countries in Africa, Middle East and Europe.  IFC proposes to invest in the project through a debt facility of up to US20 million comprised of an A loan of up to US$10 million complemented by an MCPP Infra (Allianz) loan of US$10 million or a B loan.   Alcatel Submarine Networks (ASN), working under an existing contract with Apollo Submarine Cable System Limited (“Vodafone”), a member of the 2Africa Cable consortium, will design, install and commission the ISCS. ASN’s work will include cable route selection and is expected to take 18-24 months.   The terrestrial backhaul connections are separate from but associated with the ISCS project and are to be developed by Intelvision.
