Description | The project consists of a loan of up to $30,000,000 to Banco Internacional del Perú-Interbank. The loan is made up of an A loan of up to $10,000,000, funded by the IIC, and a B loan of up to $20,000,000, funded by participants. The loan will have a term of up to seven years, including a grace period of up to two years. The proceeds from the Loan will be used for medium and long-term on-lending and fixed assets and equipment leasing to small and medium-size companies that are majority-owned by Latin American or Caribbean nationals and operate in productive sectors of the Peruvian economy. Working with a sound Peruvian bank will help the IIC meet its goal of supporting the development of small and medium-size companies. In addition, the IIC funding will support the stability of the Peruvian banking system by providing medium and long-term financing, which in Peru is relatively scarce. |
