Interconnexion Project

Major assumptions that will influence the performance of the project include that a) no adverse weather conditions prevail during the implementation period to negatively affect the productivity of the sector b) international commodity prices particularly those of cocoa and coton will not face any drastic falls c) the Government of Ghana will continue to pursue its macro and sectoral adjustment programmes to further stimulate private sector investment and d) government will not introduce new import policies that will affect the demand for the key agricultural inputs expected to be financed from the proceeds of the credit. The other area where likely risk is anticipated during the implementation of the credit are foreign exchange fluctuations or rapid depreciation of the Cedi, operational capacity limitation of the AgDB and low loan recovery rates.
