Description

Description

The objective of the project is the bilateral establishment of an innovative interdisciplinary master’s programme, which enables students of the Interregion to complete further studies with a clear professional profile, which combines specialisation opportunities in socio-scientific fields, a specialised and regional training in the foreign language German and the focus on the federal state of Bavaria, with the inclusion of practical elements as well as direct contacts with the neighbouring region. In line with the needs of the interregional labour market, closer cooperation with the local economy is sought. Through the joint development and realisation of the programme with the medium-term perspective of a double degree (Pilsen-Regensburg), the Master is intended to promote the harmonisation of educational opportunities in the interregion. As an area course, it is intended to take into account the general development of education policy, that German studies as classical philology are becoming less and less in demand in the Czech Republic. At the same time, the faculty/student mobility intensifies the networking of the two participating universities as part of the programme. The course of study is an interdisciplinary field study that focuses on a federal state and its activities in an international, national and interregional context. The main components of the training are: 1. Interdisciplinary specialist training (German Studies, History, Politology, Cultural Studies, Archaeology, Economics, Law) with regional-specific (Bavarian/Bavarian-Czech contrasting) accent, 2. Training of communicative competences (intercultural communication, technical language German, receptive variety competence), 3. Experience abroad and practical experience (meeting seminars/symposia, excursions, summer university, semester abroad, internships), 4. Project management. The target groups of the project are 1. Bachelor’s degree in humanities in the regions Pilsen/Karlsbad, 2. Teachers of the participating partner universities Pilsen and Regensburg, who contribute to the interdisciplinary networking of their universities in the course of the joint project development and implementation. The degree programme increases the quality of the joint educational offer in the Interregion due to the high authenticity of the content conveyed, through specialisation opportunities, intensive practical references and intercultural learning, through specialist and regional language skills and the specification of clear professional objectives. He equips his graduates with leadership skills that are predestined for future leadership positions in the economic, political or cultural sectors of the interregion. At the same time, it helps to keep qualified specialists on site. Through language-practical building blocks, it promotes the removal of linguistic barriers and generally supports German as a foreign or neighbouring language.
