"""InterMaths - Interdisciplinary Mathematics"" (https://www.intermaths.eu/) is an Erasmus Mundus Consortium of five Universities: - Università degli Studi dell’Aquila (Italy), Coordinating Institution, - Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), - Université Côte-d’Azur (Nice, France), - Technische Universität Hamburg (Germany), - Technische Universität Wien (Austria). InterMaths is a two-year (120 ECTS) Master’s programme in Mathematical Modelling and Simulation, with interdisciplinary applications mostly in industrial engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceutics, biomedical industry. It provides advanced training on innovative domains of mathematical modelling and forms a versatile scientist who is ready to work with experts from other applied disciplines. The prospective graduate may undertake a career in a private industry or enterprise, access public or private R&D programmes, or enter a PhD programme. With an extended network of prestigious academic and non academic institutions all over the world, InterMaths is at the forefront in fostering excellence within the EU catalogue of MSc programmes and in attracting talent to Europe. Through a consortium with deep roots in both joint advanced research and joint mobility programmes, InterMaths offers a sound and well-integrated set of syllabi with - A first semester (30 ECTS) in L'Aquila focused on the foundations of applied mathematics. - A second semester (30 ECTS) in Hamburg or Vienna, focused on numerical/modelling training. - A second year (60 ECTS) based at one of the five partner institutions, with specializations on 1. Mathematical modelling of health-care systems 2. Computational fluid dynamics and semiconductor modelling 3. Decision making and applications to logistics 4. Modelling and simulation for natural disaster mitigation 5. Computational methods in imaging 6. Stochastics for biological and artificial neural networks The programme has featured the Erasmus Mundus label since the 2021 edition."
