The objective of the project is to organize and implement the Integrated Farm Statistics (IFS) 2026, in compliance with Regulation n° 2018/1091. IFS is part of the programme of European surveys on the structure of agricultural holdings. The aim is to examine the trends in the structure of agricultural holdings at the Union level and to provide the statistical knowledge base necessary for the design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and review of related policies, in particular the common agricultural policy (CAP), including rural development measures, as well as environmental, climate change adaptation and mitigation and land use policies of the Union and some Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The outcome of the IFS 2026 describes the structure of agricultural holdings providing the general characteristics of farms and farmers and information on their land, livestock and labour force. They also describe production methods, rural development measures and agro-environmental aspects that look at the impact of agriculture on the environment.
