International Children’s Cancer Research Centre (ICCRC)

The ICCRC is a pioneering cancer research hub for children located in Kyebi, Eastern Region, Ghana. It is the first institution in West Africa dedicated exclusively to the treatment of childhood cancers, aiming to increase survival rates from about 10% to nearly 80%. The centre includes a children’s hospital, advanced research laboratories, a training institute for oncologists, staff and family residences, a chapel, and a family support centre. The design integrates local traditions with global excellence and sustainability principles, using locally sourced materials and renewable energy systems.
