International Cultural Youth Exchange (ICYE), comprising of 40 National Committees, is a non-profit NGO with headquarters in Berlin, Germany. ICYE fosters youth mobility, intercultural learning, diversity and active citizenship through voluntary service, training courses, and thematic projects. ICYE’s mission is: To provide high quality and impactful intercultural learning experiences and opportunities, as well as capacity building, to all involved in our work, so that they can better contribute for a just, peaceful and sustainable world; especially supporting young people in building personal and professional competencies. Our work programme for 2026-2027, based on quality non-formal intercultural learning and guided by the principles of solidarity, inclusion, and sustainability, will: Connect – effectively connect young people with their peers and local communities, including through more inclusive digital presence and communication Empower - Strengthen the knowledge and skills of young people, youth workers, and local communities to enable democratic participation, intercultural dialogue, and community-led change, while ensuring high-quality, inclusive experiences and impactful contributions across our programmes. Engage - Promote youth-led advocacy, decision-making, and collective action to ensure young people are empowered to shape policy, participate in governance, and contribute to social and environmental justice at local and global levels. Cooperate - Enable more equitable, mutually supporting and effective ways of working among member organisations. Direct participants in our activities: 25 EU policy makers &100 national decision makers 120 IVS organisations 95 youth workers 500 community members 1195 young people with fewer opportunities 3646 young people in total Deliverables: 11 reports 11 digital newsletters 24 monthly updates 2 Communication Plans 2 Advocacy materials Decolonised Collaboration Guidelines Narrative Checklist Mentor Lessons learned
