"The Interphono (resulting from the combination of the Spanish word Interfono and the French one Interphone) questions the space of one's own home in which a bell rings and an encounter is possible and is about reaching out to others. Moreover, the project wants to address the feeling of loneliness resulting from the pandemic and migration from an inclusive point of view in line with the social inclusion priority of the call and to promote the active participation of migrants thanks to the creation of partnerships in civil society. This project aims to build those possible encounters in several districts of 3 different European cities in Belgium (Saint-Gilles), France (Gennevilliers) and Spain (Tetuán) through theatre and the use of a tailor-made device that will connect people in different locations. All the selected neighbourhoods share a history of immigration and a welcoming attitude towards the migrant and refugee population. In order to achieve its objectives the project will have different phases: starting from theatre workshops with inhabitants to the recording of the stories in the form of ""sound portraits"" accompanied by pictures taken at their homes. Their testimonies will create a cartography of the cities and will be used to co-create with the inhabitants some artistic proposals at national level. As part of the artistic process exchanges of artists will take place with each of the partners going to the other two countries as part of a process of co-creation and knowledge sharing. As a culmination of the project all the sound portraits and pictures together with the creations done at national level and a toolkit with the methodology for the implementation of the project in different cities will be made available online (project´s website and social media). All the deliverables will be presented during a 3-day festival in Brussels that will include an artistic part together with some debates around the topics covered in the project. "
