Description
Description | To assist members and partners in managing logistics, resolving issues, and supporting all aspects of the program experience, including quality control. Researching and establishing printed material, exhibits, and educational curriculum to enhance the visitor experience. Taking the interpretation materials and translating to Spanish, Spanish tours, to help reach an non-english speaking public. Create new content to the exhibits that will go into the visitor space, that incorporate the 5 pillars of NICO history. To both enhance and increase the interpretive content available to the general public. To improve the interpretive material provided to the public by way of research and programming as well as expanding the interpretive offering by translation to a non-English languages. To expose interns to public service, to produce new researched material that will drive the production of new exhibits and interpretive materials. For a minimum of 16 hours a week, for roughly 36 weeks annually, interns will be responsible for researching archival history about Nicodemus in the University of Kansas Spencer library. They will curate information and unrevealed history about the legacy of Nicodemus. This information will then be utilized to create brochures, rack cards, orientation guides, Junior Ranger books, exhibits, ongoing social media post, and serve as a programmatic driver. The goals are to enhance the quality of historical and interpretive offerings while building a transferable skill-set in interns. |
