Description

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award financial assistance for the following project activities. Master Cooperative Agreement (CA) P15AC00171 was entered into by the National Park Service and the Susquehanna Heritage. Together Susquehanna Heritage and the NPS CAJO work to enhance recreational access to and recreational learning about the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail and its themes, Susquehanna River region, and the Chesapeake Bay. This will be accomplished by: 1) Collaboration with partners to offer field trip experiences for more than 500 grade school students; 2) Providing educational and interpretive tools for the Susquehannock Indian interpretive programs at the Zimmerman Center for Heritage located on the Susquehanna River, and 4) Offering land and water based recreational and interpretive programs to the general public relative to Chesapeake National Historic Trail themes.
