The Interreg Judo Cooperation project is based on a pioneering project in place during the Interreg-IV programme period. Cooperation between the judo federations of the Greater Region was institutionalised by the founding of an umbrella organisation with the aim of ensuring effective and sustainable coordination of the various member regions. Thanks to this cross-border collaboration, important impulses are generated, making it possible to contribute to the development of the judo structures of the Greater Region. The common organisation of cross-border actions, such as training, competitions, internships and symposia, but also the establishment of a judo team representing the Greater Region on the interregional and international stage, aims to promote the identification of all judo actors with the Greater Region and to perceive the latter as a united territorial entity.
