Description | The Arizona Dept. of Transportation is planning the Interstate 10 Broadway Curve improvement project in Tempe. The project entails improvements to the I-10 Broadway Curve area between Interstate 17 (Split) and Loop 202 (Santan/South Mountain Freeway). It involves widening I-10 to six general purpose lanes and two HOV lanes in each direction between U.S. Route 60 and 24th Street, adding a fourth general-purpose lane in each direction between U.S. Route 60 and Ray Road, and adding a collector-distributor road system between Baseline Road and State Route 143. A design-build team of Pulice Construction, Inc., FNF Construction, Flatiron West, Inc. and T.Y. Lin International has been selected. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid to late 2021 and last up to four years. |
