The project involves constructing the Lady Bird Lake portion of the Interstate 35 Capital Express Central expansion in Austin, Texas, USA.The project will redevelop about 2.5 miles of roadway on the city’s south side to create eight lanes for general traffic, a major new intersection, and improved access roads. It includes constructing a new bridge over the 416-acre Lady Bird Lake on the Colorado River to replace the 1956 bridge. A new intersection at Riverside Drive will also be designed to support a future light rail system.
