Interstate 80 Section 311 Project

The project involves pavement replacement due to Alkali-Silica Reactivity (ASR) concrete deterioration for 7.5 miles eastbound from the bridge over Route 309 to the mile 270 rest area in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. It includes drainage repairs, replacement of eastbound and westbound cross pipes, slope and parallel pipes, inlets, and end walls. Seven structures within project limits will be replaced, including bridges over Linesville Creek, Interstate 80 over State Route 309, Interstate 80 over Oley Creek, and Interstate 80 over Nescopeck Creek/County Road. Additionally, five culverts will be rehabilitated. Traffic will remain open with two lanes in both directions during construction, with some ramp and road detours during bridge replacements.
