The project involves the construction of a new Interstate Intermodal Terminal in New South Wales, Australia.The project will be constructed at Moorebank Logistics Park, located in the southwestern region of Sydney. This terminal will cater to the needs of modern 1,800-m trains, offering the potential to replace 100 B Double trucks with each train journey. Once fully developed, Moorebank Logistics Park will encompass an extensive area of 850,000 sq m, featuring advanced warehousing and freight management facilities. The park will have its own dedicated freight rail connection to Port Botany and direct access to major highway networks.The precinct will consist of several key features, including:An Import-Export (IMEX) Freight Terminal;An Interstate Freight Terminal;Surrounding warehousing facilities;Connectivity to the Southern Sydney Freight Line (SSFL) through a new bridge over the Georges River;Vehicle access to and from the M5 Motorway via a new intersection at Moorebank Avenue / Anzac Road;Preservation and improvement of riverside vegetation; andA stormwater network with piped infrastructure and detention basins to treat runoff before it enters the Georges River.
