Description | This project aims to establish an integrated cold chain in the Northern Region of Sri Lanka by introducing refrigerated transport facilities, including energy-efficient refrigerated and frozen trucks, solar power generation facilities equipped with battery storage systems, and high-efficiency refrigerated and frozen facilities coated with heat-reflective paint. It consumes renewable energy within the cold chain and stores part of the electricity generated during daytime in batteries for use during evening periods, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by replacing fossil fuel-derived electricity with renewable energy. |
