The Inverness Active Transportation Network project will establish an active transportation network in the community of Inverness; improving cyclist and pedestrian safety, promoting active living, and increasing the connectivity and walkability of the community, promoting non-vehicular modes of travel. Improvements will include an estimated 6.6 kms of new and reconstructed sidewalk and multi-use pathways. 1. Central Avenue Active Transportation Type: Multi-Use Path, 1350m long by 3.0m wide, asphalt, new build Type: Sidewalk, 2645m long (1140m east of Central Ave, 1505m west of Central Ave) by 1.8m wide, concrete, 1060m of replacement and 1585m of new build 2. Trail Extension Type: Multi-Use Trail, 750m long by 3.0m wide, gravel, new build Type: Multi-Use Trail, 210m long by 3.0m wide, asphalt, new build Type: Sidewalk, 168m long by 1.8m wide, concrete, new build 3. Veteran’s Memorial Court Sidewalk & Accessible Pathways Type: Sidewalk, 900 m long by 1.8 m wide, concrete, 370 m of reconstruction and 530 m of new build of sidewalk 4.
