The Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) approved a loan of up to US$1.2 million to Inversiones Amalgamadas S.A. de C.V. (Inalma)—located in the city of Choloma, Honduras—to partially finance its raw materials supply via investments in plantations and the refinancing of liabilities in order to improve the company’s capital structure and its future growth.Inalma is an agroindustry exports company, founded in 1987, whose area of business is the production of precooked and frozen products, mainly based on banana and cassava, ready to heat and serve.The project has two objectives: ensuring the supply of raw materials through joint investments in plantain plantations with several suppliers, and refinancing medium-term liabilities to improve the company’s debt maturity profile.
